The Liberty Hospital TreeHouse is a hospitality house located just a few steps away from the hospital on the Liberty Hospital campus.  The TreeHouse provides a temporary home away from home for our patients and their families.

Patients of Liberty Hospital and their families are eligible to stay at the TreeHouse.  Guests must be independent and care for their own personal needs, including transportation.

Although there is no mandatory fee for staying at the TreeHouse, a suggested donation of $40 per night is greatly appreciated.  However, no family will be denied access because of an inability to pay.

Reservations are taken 48 hours in advance of the requested day and can be made by calling the TreeHouse at  816-883-2088.

Our current check in and out schedule is:

Monday – Thursday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Friday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Saturday: 6:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Sunday: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm

The TreeHouse has 10 sleeping rooms.  Eight of the rooms have two twin beds.  Two of the rooms have two double beds.  All of the rooms have their own private bath room with shower and telephone.  Food is prohibited from the guests’ rooms (with the exception of water).  We ask that you eat food in the dining areas of the TreeHouse.

The TreeHouse has many communal areas that are there for guests, including a full kitchen, reading nook, dining area & lounge areas throughout the house.  The kitchen includes plates, silverware, cups, stove & oven, microwave, and fridge.  There is a washing machine and dryer available for laundry as well.

Guests must bring their own food to the house but will have access to the kitchen 24 hours a day.  Each room has an area in the kitchen where they can store their food if they’d like.

There is WiFi internet throughout the house.

Once a Guest has been checked into a room at the TreeHouse, they are given a key card and are free to come and go as needed.

Trash is emptied daily from the rooms.  Rooms are usually cleaned when the guest checks out.  Linens are not changed daily unless a need arises.  There is a hall closet that is available for Guests that provides extra towels, linens, pillows, trash bags, and toilet paper if needed.

Children my stay with an adult at the TreeHouse.  Supervision of children is the responsibility of the guest.  Babysitting services are not provided.  Children 15 and under must be supervised at all times.

Visitors are welcome at the TreeHosue, but they must obey all the TreeHouse Rules. No more than 4 visitors per guest room.  There are many comfortable areas in the house to meet with visitors as well.  No visitors are allowed after 10:00 PM.

Assuming guests abide by all the rules, and they or their family member is a patient at Liberty Hospital, guests may stay for a maximum of 5 days at a time.

To ensure we have rooms available for other community members, guests are allowed only one room.
