Liberty Hospital Foundation Scholarships

The Professional Education Program supports the advancement of nursing excellence at Liberty Hospital and in our community. By offering a range of scholarships for current and aspiring nurses, Liberty Hospital continues to recruit and retain the best nursing staff in the Northland.
Opportunities for current staff include the Stocksdale Family Education Assistance Program, the BSN Scholarship, and the Thomann Financial Services, Inc. Scholarship Fund, which supports advanced degrees such as MSN. The program also provides financial support to local graduating seniors who wish to pursue a career in nursing, through the High School Nursing Scholarship.

There is nothing that I want to do more with my life than help those who are in need. Palliative care and geriatric nursing touches people at a critical time in their lives and I want to be there for them when they need it most.

Stocksdale Family Education Assistance Program

With a generous gift from the Stocksdale family, we are now able to offer up to $5,250 for full-time employees (up to $2,500 for part-time and PRN employees) per fiscal year toward coursework that leads to a degree or licensure/registration.

High School Nursing Scholarship Program

The Nursing Scholarship program continues to benefit both the hospital and the awardees. At our annual Nurses’ Week Luncheon, we are able to introduce high school seniors to our current staff and build lasting relationships. Currently, we have 8 nurses working at Liberty Hospital who were past recipients of a high school scholarship.
