Meet Adriana Lembke, RN, ADN
Question: Why did you become a nurse?
A: “I’ve always been drawn to the medical field and have a passion for helping others especially the tiny humans. I have always had a heart for babies and pediatrics so working in the birthing center (NICU) was the perfect fit for me! It’s incredibly rewarding to provide care and support to not just the infants but also the parents during such a big moment of their lives.”
Q: What is your favorite part of being a nurse?
A: “My favorite part of being a NICU nurse is the opportunity to care for the tiniest patients and support their families during such a critical time. It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness their progress and celebrate each milestone, no matter how small.”
Q: What advice would you give an aspiring nurse?
A: “My advice to new nurses is to stay curious and never stop learning! Embrace every opportunity to gain experience and always prioritize compassion and empathy to your care.”
Q: What keeps you motivated during tough shifts?
A: “What keeps me motivated during tough shifts or situations is remembering why I chose this job, seeing my patients improve and knowing that I am making a positive difference in their care. That alone really helps me push through.”
Q: What has been your best experience at the Hosptial that made you enjoy nursing more?
A: “I think I am very lucky to have the job that I do. I get to attend and assist in births and the transition of life outside the womb. I get to experience the miracle of life every single shift and I look forward to coming to work. Not only do I enjoy the job that I have but I also have grown to love the people I work with, and the community feel of Liberty Hospital.”
