Meet Jessica Dold, BSN, RN, RNC-LRN

Question: Why did you become a nurse?

A: “I was initially drawn to the flexibility and opportunities nursing has to offer. I was intrigued by the numerous career options and areas for growth.”

Q: What is your favorite part of being a nurse?

A: “I genuinely love being able to make an impact on someone else’s life. Being a part of people’s most vulnerable moments is an honor that I will never take for granted.”

Q: What advice would you give an aspiring nurse?

A: “Be a lifetime learner. Nursing is always evolving and changing. Embrace the growth opportunities, but never forget to also give yourself grace.”

Q: What keeps you motivated during tough shifts?

A: “I often call upon my own experiences as a patient, or as a family member of a patient. I remember how truly grateful I was for the compassion my nurses showed me. Having caring, knowledgeable nurses further validated what an important role nurses play.”

Q: What has been your best experience at the Hosptial that made you enjoy nursing more?

A: “I have been at Liberty Hospital for 17 years, so I have many memorable experiences. Some of my favorites include the amazing friendships I have made with my co-workers. They have taken team work to a whole new level. As a clinical educator, I get to watch other nurses grow both professionally and personally. That is extremely rewarding.”
