Meet Paytyn Guess, RN
Question: Why did you become a nurse?
A: “I became a nurse because I wanted to be a source of hope and healing during some of the most vulnerable moments in people’s lives. Nursing isn’t just a profession- it’s a calling to serve with compassion and strength and help change lives one patient at a time.”
Q: What is your favorite part of being a nurse?
A: “My favorite part of being a nurse is the consistent room for growth. From a new title to a new degree, another certification or even just learning a new skill there is always something more to learn.”
Q: What advice would you give an aspiring nurse?
A: “Believe in your purpose, even when the days feel long and the challenges feel heavy.”
Q: What keeps you motivated during tough shifts?
A: “My teammates keep me motivated. I’m thankful to work with such an amazing group of people in the Emergency Department. Lean on your teammates and never underestimate the strength that comes from a supportive family. Nursing is a journey that we don’t walk alone.”
Q: What has been your best experience at the Hosptial that made you enjoy nursing more?
A: “The best experience in my career with Liberty Hospital was the day we got to deliver a baby in the Emergency Room!”
