Thomann Graduate Scholarship

  • The Thomann Financial Services, Inc. Scholarship is to celebrate and continue John Thomann’s legacy of commitment to the Liberty Hospital Foundation. The purpose of the scholarship is to support the hospital employees who provide and contribute to the care of patients every day by investing in their professional development.

    The scholarship is available to Liberty Hospital employees who are currently enrolled in an accredited master’s or doctoral degree program. Scholarships will be awarded twice per year. Applications begin July 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester.

    All scholarship applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, comprised of hospital leaders. The scholarship award will be paid directly to the employee by the Liberty Hospital Foundation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Current Liberty Hospital employee in a part-time or full-time position
  • Enrolled part-time or full-time in an accredited master’s or doctoral program
  • Submit an unofficial transcript, proof of enrollment, tuition, and fees for the upcoming semester
  • Submit a written statement describing how the selected degree will positively impact your nursing practice and Liberty Hospital
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from Manager and/or Director (attach to email when submitting)
  • If awarded, submit a thank you letter highlighting how the scholarship will support your current and future healthcare career. Thank you letter is required to receive scholarship payment.

A maximum of four recipients will be awarded up to $1,000 per fiscal year (July 1—June 30). No recipient will be eligible to receive the Thomann Financial Services, Inc. Graduate Scholarship more than once every 12 months. The scholarship can be used for out-of-pocket costs of tuition, academic fees, books, and other education supplies.
