National Doctors’ Day, March 30, is a celebration to recognize the contributions of physician to individual lives and communities. For Kerry and her family, Doctors’ Day provides them with another opportunity to express gratitude for the exemplary care provided by Dr. Ward Ohlhausen and Liberty Hospital Birthing Center staff.
When Kerry’s daughter, Myra Kate, was stillborn on Mother’s Day in 2012, her mother, Myra, was determined to find something beautiful for baby Myra Kate’s burial. Recognizing a need for this type of special gown, Kerry created Myra’s Mission, a service project dedicated to providing Angel Gowns for stillborns and infants.
“Liberty Hospital Foundation was the perfect place for us to start our mission since Myra Kate was delivered here on Mother’s Day 2012,” shared Kerry.
