Liberty Hy-Vee Continues to Make a Difference

LIBERTY, Mo., February 28, 2025 – For nearly a decade, Liberty Hy-Vee has been more than just a grocery store; they’ve been a cornerstone of community support and a beacon of hope for patients and families at Liberty Hospital. It was just nine years ago that Hy-Vee first stepped up as the presenting sponsor for the Liberty Hy-Vee Half Marathon and Jewell 5K. Today, we are thrilled to announce that they will continue their role as our named presenting sponsor in 2025, further cementing their legacy of giving back.

This partnership means the world to our patients and families who need support, right here in our community. Liberty Hy-Vee’s commitment goes beyond sponsorship—they are actively changing lives. This March, we are proud to spotlight the Round Up at Hy-Vee initiative, where every customer will have the opportunity to round up their purchase at any of the 14 registers to support Liberty Hospital Foundation. At each register, 8.5×11 signs will feature three barcodes for cashiers to easily scan, adding $1, $5, or $10 to customer purchases. Every dollar raised through this program will go directly to our Patient Assistance Program, helping us provide hygiene kits to those who need extra support during difficult times.

These hygiene kits are thoughtfully crafted to ensure the dignity, safety, and comfort of our patients. Each kit may include essentials such as:

• A 17-inch two-tone backpack for convenient carrying
• Thermal and fleece blankets for warmth
• Personal care items like hand sanitizer, shampoo, body lotion, toothpaste, and a toothbrush
• Basic necessities including socks, gloves, hats, and hand warmers
• Hygiene essentials such as soap bars, body wash, razor blades, shaving cream, and wet wipes

These kits are designed to provide more than just hygiene—they offer a sense of security and hope to patients facing tough situations. Every purchase rounded up at Liberty Hy-Vee brings us one step closer to helping more families in need.
