Patient Assistance Program is Still Setting Records in 2024-2025

LIBERTY, Mo., August 14, 2025 – The Liberty Hospital Foundation received the Annual Impact Report from Liberty Hospital’s Care Management team recapping the fiscal year with incredible results.

The Patient Assistance Program was able to assist 1,773 patients and community members in FY 2025 (July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025). This is an increase of 270 patients and community members from FY 2024. Services ranged from Student Assistance, Medication Assistance, DME, Breast Center Imaging, Cardiac Rehab and Transportation.

The Medication Assistance program provided 160 applications with a total patient monthly RX savings of $11,843 in FY 2025. A patient said “Thank you for all your assistance in getting my eyedrops approved. I can finally see again!”

Transportation touches many aspects of a person’s life; adequate and reliable transportation services are fundamental to healthy communities. Transportation issues can affect a patient’s access to healthcare services. Having this accessible transportation touches the lives of patients as well as providing them appropriate and reliable transportation to promote a healthy community. Without transportation assistance, these issues may result in missed or delayed healthcare appointments, increase in healthcare expenditures and overall poor health outcomes. Our mission is to make a positive impact on our communities by addressing transportation issues or barriers. Our mission is to continue reducing transportation-related barriers, ensuring all patients have reliable access to care. 1049 rides were provided by Uber Health in FY 2025; this is an increase of 236 rides from FY 2024.

The Foundation is proud to support 100% of these services and will continue to serve patients in the Hospital’s community in FY 2026. Each year, the Foundation budgets for roughly $40,000 in Patient Assistance. Thank you to the Care Management team for continuing to utilize donor dollars in the most equitable way, truly making every dollar matter.
