16th Annual Twilight at the TreeHouse Concludes with Record-Breaking Total

Twilight at the TreeHouse 2025 Impact Report

This year was the Foundation’s 16th annual Twilight at the TreeHouse, coupled with its 40th Anniversary. The community, Hosptial staff, Board of Directors, and TreeHouse guests came together to raise record breaking proceeds, topping $178,000 in combination with the Health on Wheels Car Raffle.

Congratulations to our Inaugural John A. Thomann Volunteer of the Year, Jodi Sundaram.

For more than five years, Jodi has served on the Board of Directors. Since her initial involvement, she has actively participated in all of the Foundation’s events, assisting with aspects such as decorations, procuring auction items, and volunteering her time. Jodi has successfully attracted many new donors and built valuable community relationships, demonstrating her immense generosity with the most valuable resource of all: her time. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Jodi for her dedication and for contributing to the Foundation’s growth and success.

Congratulations also to our Inaugural Liberty Hospital Foundation Nurse of the Year, Heather Wilkie

Heather Wilkie graduated with her BSN in 2016 and her MSN in 2021. She began her career in Labor and Delivery, and came to Liberty Hospital in 2020 as a clinical educator. Heather currently serves as one of two clinical instructors at the Hospital, and is beloved by all staff and patients.

In September 2025, Heather was recognized as Liberty Hospital’s DAISY Award recipient of the month. One nomination summarized Heather’s spirit best by saying, “Heather has gone above and beyond for my mother. She’s done several things techs usually do. She even took her dinner tray out of the room! In all my years in and out of various hospitals (many), I’ve never once seen an RN do that (or change linens and other small thoughtful tasks). Her positive attitude and work ethic is exactly what a professional RN should strive for. She’s exceptional, and deserves all the flowers, not just the daisies, but the DAISY Award is a great start!” Thank you, Heather, for being an example of nursing excellence.

This year, we honored Robert Whitham, TreeHouse guest, as this year’s Twilight Guest of Honor. Robert stayed at the TreeHouse while receiving cancer treatments. He attended with his two sons.

This year’s silent auction featured 36 items and raised $7,225.

We’ve got rhythm! Thank you to The Overtones KC for the best big band performance!

This year, Twilight was truly magical! Swapping out a live auction for a magician, Todd Lamanske brought the laughs and the entertainment.
