The Liberty Hospital Foundation in conjunction with Liberty Hospital presented nursing scholarships and
annual nurse awards at a special Nurses’ week luncheon held at Norterre. This luncheon was created to
honor and recognize current nursing staff and high school students who wish to further their education
in the field of nursing.
Scholarship applications were accepted in January, 2018 and reviewed by the professional education
committee. Nine outstanding nurses were provided with scholarships to continue their education. The
luncheon, sponsored by Scrub Hub was a great way to mark National Nurses’ Week which is celebrated
annually May 6-12.
The Liberty Hospital Foundation is proud to offer these one-time scholarships to multiple high school
students who wish to pursue a career in nursing. This year the Foundation awarded eight, $2,500 high
school scholarships and X professional education scholarships.
